The Alhambra was a palace, citadel and fortress, and during the Nasrid period it housed the residence of the sultans, the court and much of the political life of Granada. On the same hill is also the Generalife, associated with gardens, orchards and leisure spaces close to the main complex.
The activity lasts approximately 5 hours in total. The visit to the Alhambra takes around 3 hours and the route through the Albaicín and Sacromonte adds a further 2 hours.
